The View from Here...

My favourite place in my new apartment is my back porch. I can sit here and watch the birds and squirrels play in the trees while the neighbor's children play down below.

In the coming months I hope to share with you a little of what it's like to live here in Central Florida and a lot of what I like to create. I have been a doll collector all my life, but since finding Blythe and Asian ball jointed dolls my collecting has taken a whole new turn. The BJD's have led my fondness for antiques to become a passion for tracking down old linens and laces to transform into new finery for the dolls. I have begun quilting in order to create bedclothes for the vintage and antique doll beds I have found. I also look for tiny teacups and saucers, butter pats and sewing paraphernalia to bring their world to life. I hope you will join me in my quest to find beauty and meaning in life through artistic creation. Welcome *^_^*

Haloo,
This is an awesome thing. I never even knew what a blog was but it's cool. I'm such a non-computer nerd. Oh you know what I mean. heeheee I'm still working on my puch needle project. I'm really liking the look of them. I'm starting to have withdrawl symptoms, I haven't been to any antique stores lately and I crave it. All though no money does tend to keep me at home. Funny I'm working now and still don't have any money. But we are charging less. (Thank God) Well I guess I better go. Love you with all my heart and soul.
Sis :)xo P.S. Zachie loves 2nd grade and is doing great.

I think a YEAH is called for here! Maybe this comment is going to go thru! What can I say---I'm Not computer literate. Rain, rain, go away, etc, etc, etc! K-N-L, Tracy and Arthur went over to IKEA yesterday and spent 6 hours there..you have created another monster. *^-^* As for me, hauling out all of the Christmas Fabric and getting an early start on some holiday quilting. Hope you are having a great week. Love and miss you!!!

Ribet - Ribet *^-^* Here I am again, just had to stop in and look at that fantastic view. After, the day I have had....thought I would get some actual quilting done today.....Woops! how silly was I?? After washing the fabric, drying the fabric, choosing the colors that go together, ironing the fabric, cutting the fabric and doing a little housework in between.....I finally got down to it all and thought to finish ONE block today.......wrong again! Started sewing, got some pieces together, then had to cut and sew THOSE pieces into yet another configuration......and then I got tired and hungry all at the same time!!! So.....here I am, bedtime and not even one block together!!! But----tomorrow is another day. Hope you had a great one. (just looking at the great view has made me sooooooooo much calmer) *^-^* Love you and miss you....
